The AAFES (Army & Air Force Exchange Service) has established their own employee self-service web portal that will allows Exchange Associates to login and view their paystub online at https://self-service.aafes.com/self-service/logon.asp.  The site is available to employees 7 days a week and is accessible at any time of the day including weekends.  It is mainly used by Associates to view their paystub for the current pay period including past periods.  During tax preparation time they can access their account and view/print their W-2 statements.

To access the self-service website users will need to visit AAFES Employee Self Service.  You will need to enter your TSS ID and TSS Password to enter the site.  If you don’t already have your login credentials you’ll need to visit your HR department or speak with management.  It is also suggested that users access the site through their Internet Explorer browser for a better experience.  The other browsers such as Google Chrome or Firefox aren’t as compatible than Internet Explorer.

Once logged in to self-service users will be able to view their payroll file and monitor their paycheck information such as hourly wage, deductions, vacation accruals, tax information, and more.  If you need to setup direct deposit or make any changes to your current direct deposit setup you can perform those functions inside your account.  An online account allows users some control over their payroll information to make edits and changes.

The employee self-service feature is a convenience for employees as they can monitor their payroll and paystub information online.  The online service allows them access anytime they desire to check on their past and present paycheck details.

Some of the changes they can initiate themselves are changing or activating direct deposit.  They can easily stop a direct deposit or add a new direct deposit from ESS without having to stop by Human Resources.  They have the ability to make those simple changes online.

Any changes to your personal information can also be edited from inside ESS.  Users can change their name, address, phone numbers, email address, add dependents, etc.  When its tax time and employees need to receive their W-2’s, they can sign in and download their latest W-2 from inside their account.  W-2’s are ready faster in electronic form than paper so they can expect to receive them sooner at the end of the year or beginning of the new year.
