DTE Energy customers can utilize online services to manage their bill and make online payments. By registering for an account customers can simplify their customer experience by utilizing the features offered through online services. Some of the services offered for online users are online bill payment, view your bill, begin a new service, stop an existing service, report power outages, etc.
Instead of waiting to receive your monthly billing statement to review your charges customers can easily login to their account online and see their bill on the inside. This service is called eBill Paperless Billing which is environmentally friendly reducing the need for paper bills that customers can sign up for and see their bill digitally. Whenever their bill is ready for viewing in their account an email notification reminder will be sent. Customers will then be able to view it online and if necessary print out a copy for their records.
Making a payment online is another useful feature of online services. Customers can elect to make their payments manually every month or use the Automatic Payment feature. Either option is a free service that utilizes Visa, MasterCard, your personal debit card, or electronic payment via your checking or savings account. Customers have the option to schedule their payments as far as 60 days in advance and any payments made after 1:00pm will be posted the following business day.
For circumstances surrounding a loss of power at your home or in your area customers can utilize the Report a Power Problem link on the DTE Energy homepage. The site offers steps to properly notifying the company of outages as well as a time frame on when power will be restored. If power has been down for a while customers can also check the status of the problem through the Check Power Problem Status link and follow instructions.
