West Virginia University students can receive faster financial aid refunds by signing up for the eRefund program. The eRefund program allows students to transfer their financial refund to any bank account of their choice. It’s a faster service for students than waiting for a paper check to arrive in the mail which can take up to 14 days. It is also faster than waiting for funds to be applied back to credit cards or checking accounts. Most checking accounts require a 14 day waiting period before the checks are cleared.
Students can visit (https://www.paymentportal.pnc.com/wvu/login.html) to sign in to their account. First time users of the site will need to register for the service. Once you’ve officially registered for an account you will be able to login and setup how you want to receive your financial aid refunds. The site is free to use and customers are not required to be PNC Bank customers.
After logging in it only takes a few clicks to designate how you want your refunds setup. Direct deposit is available for setup directly to your checking account. It can take up to 3 days for funds to be released to your account. When your payment is ready to be sent you will receive a notification from your school via email.
For students who decide not to use eRefund they will have to wait for their refund checks to arrive in the mail. Any changes you’d like to make concerning the payment method can be achieved by logging in to your account and make the appropriate setting changes.
