Settlement of Legg v. Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings

Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) has agreed to a settlement fund of $11,000,000 for the class action lawsuit Legg v. Laboratory Corp of America.  This class action lawsuit initiated by Plaintiff Christopher Legg purporting that on or after July 6, 2012 LabCorp wilfully printed transaction receipts including credit card/debit card expiration dates which violate the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act.  The defendant has agreed to the settlement amount and will pay the settlement class members, administration of the settlement, and when the final court approval has occurred will pay the court and attorney fees.

It has been estimated by Class Counsel that Settlement Class Members that submit a valid claim form can receive a $200 payment subject to pro rata distribution.  If you received a notice in the mail about this lawsuit and settlement you are entitled to receive a payment by simply completing and submitting a valid claim form.  The deadline date for submitting the form is prior to January 25, 2016.

Claim forms can be submitted online at ( or by calling 1-888-576-8343 to have a form mailed to your address.  After receiving the form and completing it the form can be mailed back to:  LabCorp Settlement Claims Administrator, PO Box  43392, Providence, RI  02940-3392.  When applying online you will need your claim number which is highlighted on the notice you received in the mail.
