If you live in a rural area where there’s no Comcast or AT&T internet service the only option you may have to accessing the web is through satellite internet.  The leading provider in satellite internet across America is HughesNet.  The company has the largest satellite network across North America and makes it possible for their customers to experience broadband internet wherever they are.

One of the latest upgrades at HughesNet is their Gen4 high speed internet service that offers their customers increased internet speeds, better overall performance, and higher bandwidth for watching video content, and downloading.  HughesNet has individual plans that offer Gen4 from 5 Mbps with a 10GB data allowance up to 15 Mbps and 40GB of data available on a month by month basis.

Each plan that is offered comes with different pricing with the lowest plan at $39.99 to their most expensive at $119.99.  The available plans are from lowest to highest:  Connect, Power, Power Pro, and Power Max.  Deciding on which plan is right for your home is not a difficult one to make.  There is a chart at the HughesNet website under the Find Your Plan tab that will assist you in which plan is right for you and your family.  If you are single and only have access to one computer at home then the Connect plan with 5 Mbps and 10GB of data will be ideal for you.  Families with multiple computers and internet users who do lots of video streaming, social networking, and downloading will need to consider the upper tier Gen4 plans.

With any plan that you decide to subscribe to you will receive free installation of a Standard HughesNet Gen4 satellite dish.  This option is only available if you decide to lease your HughesNet system.  Customers who opt out of leasing their equipment but instead choose to purchase their Gen4 equipment outright will receive a $100 discount off the equipment costs.  New customers are eligible for a $10 monthly savings on all service plans for the first 3 months of service.
