Both options are fast and convenient not requiring too much time to complete. To assist you with activating your card so you can begin using it here is a simple guide for you.

Activate Capital One Walmart Rewards Card Online

The fastest way for new cardholders to activate their new card is if they already have a Capital One online account:

Visit www.walmart.capitalone.com/activate

If you already have a Capital One online account click the Sign In & Activate button

Enter your username and password – click the green Sign In button
Click on Activate My Card
Enter your card info

For cardholders that do not have a Capital One online account you will need to go through the enrollment process:

If you do not already have a Capital One account you can click the Enroll & Activate button via walmart.capitalone.com/activate

There is a 5 step process to enrolling that will require some personal information in each stage – the stages are:

General Information
Your Products
Sign In
Verification
Completion

So they can locate you in the system you will need to start off at the first stage General Information stage by entering:

Last name
Social security number or bank account number
Date of birth
Click Find Me button

Continue on through the rest of the 4 stages to completion. At the end you will be able to use the login credentials that you created to login to your online account 24/7.

Activating your card by telephone is also a fast way to go over the walmart.capitalone.com/activate option. You will simply speak with an agent or go through the automated process to activate.

Call 1-877-362-5952
Have your card handy so you can give your card number and also social security number
Press 1 for general card inquiries
Enter your card number followed by the # sign
Tell the customer service agent your name, phone number, and ssn
After your identity is verified the agent will activate your account

There is no rush to activating your new Capital One Walmart Rewards card but your account will be cancelled after 3-5 months if you do not activate it.
