Rental assistance offered by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Texas Rent Relief program found at www.texasrentrelief.com is designed to help renters who can’t afford rent for up to 15 months get back rent and assistance for up to three months of future rent, along with utility assistance.
Rent relief applications are being prioritized across the state in an effort to keep Texans in their homes as eviction moratoriums expire across the state.
With the Texas Eviction Diversion Program (TEDP), courts can put a temporary hold on the eviction process while the parties work toward assistance through the Texas Rent Relief program.
