Xfinity Mobile Activate – Getting Started with Xfinity Mobile
For new Xfinity Mobile customers activating their mobile phone using their new phone number or current phone number can easily be done online at www.xfinitymobile.com/activate. The entire process is easy to do as long as you follow the instructions laid out here.
Steps to Activate Your New Phone Online
Before doing anything the first step to getting started is the unboxing of your new device. Unbox your new device including any other accessories that came with the device or that you ordered.
Other accessories could be your phone charger, SIM card, etc. Before activating your phone, make sure it is turned off.
The SIM card for your new iPhone must be inserted into the phone at this point.
The Xfinity Mobile SIM card mailed to you after you decided to BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) can be used with your existing phone. Insert your new Xfinity Mobile SIM card into your existing phone and eject your old one.
With Android, SIM cards are preinstalled.
You can also use Xfinity Mobile’s SIM labels to ensure no SIM cards get mixed up if you’re activating phones for the whole family.
How to Activate Xfinity Mobile
After you have followed the steps above the next step is to visit the Xfinity Mobile activate site, here’s what to do when you arrive there:
- Visit www.xfinitymobile.com/activate
- Enter your login credentials: email address, mobile number, or username then your Xfinity password
- Click the blue Sign In button
Forgot Xfinity ID or Password
If you’ve forgotten your Xfinity mobile login credential you can click the Forgot Xfinity ID or password link on the homepage of xfinitymobile.com/activate/

You will need to confirm your mobile phone number or email address or social security number then click the blue Continue button
Continue on with the process until you have been given your Xfinity ID

Enter your Xfinity ID then click the Continue button
You will be sent a password reset to your email inbox
Follow the instructions or link to reset your password
After successfully logging in to xfinitymobile.com/activate next select the phone you want to activate
The account number and PIN from your previous carrier are required to transfer your current number. Normally these are on your previous bills, but you can always call your previous carrier to verify.
For a brand new assigned number choose “I want a new number” and Xfinity Mobile will automatically assign you one once the phone is activated. The last step is to press the Activate button.
After your phone has been activated at the xfinity mobile activate site the next step is to wait up to 10 minutes to receive a confirmation email. The confirmation email notifies you that the activation is complete and your new phone number is given.
