My529 Login – How to Access Utah’s Educational Savings Plan

Individuals who want to register for an online my529 investment account or who simply want to login to their account can visit the Utah 529 login.  The registration process is simple and only requires you to enter a few personal details to get started.

First Time User Registration Help 

If this is your first time visiting the my529 utah login you will need to register for an online account and login credentials.  From the homepage click the “Don’t have a login” link.

There is a dropdown box that has 2 registration types to choose from:  

• I am new to my529
• I have accounts with my529

If you do not have an online account you will need to select accordingly and if you already have an account or you have the proper forms and want online access you can select the “I have accounts with my529.”

If you choose the “I am new to my529” account you will need to enter the following personal info:

• First name
• Last name
• Email address
• Username
• Password
• Click the blue Create button

If you choose the “I have accounts with my529” link you will need to enter the following info:

• Social security number
• Date of birth
• Click the blue Continue button

Forgot Password or Username

If you have forgotten any part of your my529 login credentials you can try the links on the homepage.  A forgotten password will require you to know your username and a forgotten username will require your email address.

Utah my529 Plan Info

To assist parents with saving for their kids’ college the my529 login Utah plan has been established which is a state sponsored program.  

Known as qualified tuition plans, 529 plans provide tax benefits for qualified education expenses paid for a designated beneficiary. With a 529 plan, you can pay for college tuition, K-12 tuition, apprenticeship programs, and student loan repayments. Savings in a 529 plan will have a minimal impact on financial aid eligibility if used as a college investment fund.

My529 Plan Highlights

Earnings aren’t subject to federal or state tax when used for qualified higher education expenses, such as:

Tuition and mandatory fees.

Computers, peripheral equipment, educational software, and internet access.

Books, supplies, and required equipment.

Room and board for students enrolled at least half-time.

K-12 tuition expenses at public, private, or religious schools.
