AAA Visa credit cardholders that have received their new credit card in the mail will need to activate their card before it can be used for purchases.  Cardholders have the option to activate their card online or by phone.  

How to Activate AAA Visa Signature Credit Card Online

• Visit www.aaa.com/advantageactivate

Enter the following info:

• Credit card account number
• Expiration date
• Last 4 of your social security number
• Zip code
• Click the black Continue button

If you follow the instructions your card should be activated and ready to start buying.

How to Activate Your AAA Visa Signature Credit Card by Phone

Depending on which type of card you have there’s 2 phone options for card activation:

• Call 1-866-349-1742 for the Daily Advantage Visa
• Call 1-855-334-3640 for the Travel Advantage Visa

How to Manage AAA Visa Credit Card Account Online

After cardholders have gone through the activation process consider registering for an online account so you can manage your card online.  Here are benefits for online account registration:

• Pay your bill online
• Redeem cash back rewards
• View your account balance
• View all transactions
• View credit limit
• Make changes to your contact profile

If you like the benefits of having an online account you can start the process of registering for an account:

• Visit aaa.com/advantageactivate
• Click the Comenity logo at the top left of the screen

• Click the black Register Now button at the top right of the screen

Enter the following info:

• Credit card account number
• Zip code
• Last 4 digits of your social security number
• Click the Find My Account button

Continue on with the rest of the registration process requiring you to create your login credentials and security questions and answers.  When you finish you should be able to access your online account.

• Visit the aaa.com/advantageactivate
• Click the Sign in button
• Enter your username and password
• Click the Sign in button

Need Assistance Troubleshooting Username and Password

If you need assistance with your username or password due to forgetting what they are you can visit the homepage and click the Forgot Username / Password link.

It will require you to verify your identity using the same info as before:

• Credit card account number
• Zip code
• Last 4 digits of your social security number
• Click the Find My Account button

Your username will be sent to you while forgetting your password will require a password reset with instructions sent to your email address.

After you have successfully activated your new credit card the next step is to begin making purchases.  It is advisable that you destroy your old card because after activating your new card the old one is no longer valid.
