For employees that join AFSCME International you will be sent a new member card which requires you to activate online.  The activation process is simple, allowing members the option to very quickly use their home computer, mobile devices, or smartphone to access the site.

The site is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for members to access and use to activate their card.  

How To Activate Your AFSCME Membership Online

If you have received a card in the mail from AFSCME, have it handy and follow these brief steps towards activating it.  

• Visit www.afscmecard.org activate card

Enter the following details:

• AFSCME Member Number (located on the front of your card)
• Home email address
• Cell phone number
• Date of birth
• Click the green ACTIVATE button

As soon as your card is activated at afscmecard.org, you will be able to use all its features.  The activation process helps to identify you as a member and user of the card.  

Any problems you may face with the activation process can be referred to member services via their toll free number.

Who is AFSCME?
