Certain Costco members can apply for the new Costco Anywhere Visa Card by Citi by visiting citi.com/costcoanywhereapply.  Members that are eligible for the card should have received an invitation to apply in the mail explaining how to apply and the benefits associated with the card.

To apply for the Citi Costco Anywhere Visa Card there are 3 ways to do so.  Applying online via the application site is the fastest way to get a response of acceptance or denial.  Once you complete the short online application form you will receive an instant decision that can take up to a minute.  So, if you’re looking for the fastest response consider applying online.

Apply online:  At the Costco Anywhere Apply website you will need to enter in your Invitation Code that is highlighted on the invitation offer you received in the mail.  It’s a 9 digit number located above your name and address.  Continue on with the rest of the application process, filling in your personal info, until the end.

Apply by phone:  The second fastest way to apply is by applying via telephone.  The phone number to call is 1-866-553-0844.  You will need to speak with a customer service rep and provide your financial details but you can find out if you’re accepted within a matter of minutes.

Apply by mail:  If applying via mail then you’re fully aware this is the slowest option.  You’ll need to consider mail travel and processing time which altogether can take up to 7 days before you can find out a decision on your credit account acceptance.

This credit card is only for Costco members and comes with no annual fee.  Primary members of a Costco membership once accepted and approved for a card will have their Costco membership fees deducted from their Anywhere Visa Card annually on the first day of their renewal month.  Members that don’t wish to have this payment option can elect another payment method.

The current promotion that is offered for this card is 0% introductory APR offer for the first 7 months then afterwards a variable interest rate of 15.99%. 

Cash Back Earnings

Cash back earnings are rewarded for every purchase and is redeemed in the form of an annual credit card reward certificate in February billing statements.  It is redeemable for cash or Costco merchandise.  Here is a breakdown of the earnings percentages:

4% cash back:  on eligible gas worldwide including Costco gas for the first $7,000 per year then 1% thereafter

3% cash back:  on restaurant and eligible travel purchases worldwide

2% cash back:  on all other purchases from Costco and Costco.com

1% cash back:  on all other purchases
