Customers that have a ReleasePay Card before using their card will need to activate the card online at the ReleasePay activation website. At the site there is an activation page that cardholders will need to complete before they’re able to use their card.

The Release Paycard is a debit card program for inmates that are being released from prison that has the remaining funds from the inmates prison accounts pre-loaded on the card. The card is supported and offered by Rapid Financial Services.
The card has an expiration date of 5 years and includes no maintenance or inactivity fees. The entire program is a solution for inmates that does not have a bank account.
To check the balance on my ReleasePay card you can call the toll free number on the back of your card or visit the ReleasePay card website and login. If you haven’t registered for an online account you can simply follow the instructions above to register.
To transfer funds with your ReleasePay card you will need to have an online account where the Transfer feature is located. Funds can be transferred from one ReleasePay card to another or from your ReleasePay card to your bank account. Transfers have an instant transfer feature that allows your money to be available within minutes.
Other avenues ReleasePay card funds can be transferred to or from is Paypal, direct deposit, gift card redemption, charitable donations, etc. Login to your online account to get started.
You can call the number on the back of your card to reset your PIN at any time. Your Temporary PIN is provided at time of issuance. Your PIN is the access code for all pinned point-of-sale purchases.
