Suntrust and BB&T have merged to become Truist Bank. As the conversion is taking place current Suntrust and BB&T clients will be served through the current bank branch locations. For most bank clients they won’t have to deal with changes in account numbers or routing numbers.
Bank customers of either bank for the time being should receive a new Truist bank card in the mail that needs to be activated.
Depending on what type of bank account you have with Truist or Suntrust customers with a checking, savings, or credit card will need to follow the Truist activate card steps. Once you receive the card you can activate your new truist debit card by calling:

Click the Sign in link
If you’ve forgotten your user ID click the Forgot User ID link

Continue on with the rest of the online instructions for either Truist or SunTrust account
If you’ve forgotten your password click the Reset password link

Follow the instructions until you’ve reset your password and has been issued a new password
