How to Access

The OnlineCitationPayment service is a fast and easy way for traffic citations that have been issued to be paid.  The online service only requires you to enter your Citation Number and password to access the site and once inside you’ll be able to view your entire citation and quickly pay the fine.  All of the information needed to logon to the site is on the ticket you were given.

If you were given your citation by hand or if it arrived in the mail you can turn it over onto the back to get your access info (citation number and password/pin).  Once inside you can make your payment using your credit/debit VISA, Mastercard, or American Express card.

If you’re not interested in paying your citation online there are other payment options available.  Here is a short list of those options:

Nearest District Court:  Locate the nearest District Court in your location and visit the cashier’s office to pay your fine in person.  You can pay using your credit card or electronic debit but please know there may be an additional service charge when paying by credit card.

Maryland Uniform Traffic Citation Payment Kiosk:  Visit the Motor Vehicle Administration in your area and utilize the Maryland Uniform Traffic Citation Payment Kiosk to pay your fine.  There is a fee that is added to your payment for using the service.

Mail:  After receiving your citation you can send a check or money order by mail to the District Court of Maryland.  You should have a Return to Court copy along with your traffic citation in your envelope when mailing.  The address for sending your payment is:

IVR Phone System:  Traffic citation payments can also be accepted using the District Court’s Interactive Voice Response system by calling 1-800-492-2656.  Along with providing directions to court locations and other basic info the IVR accepts credit card payments using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
