Suntrust and BB&T have merged to become Truist Bank.  As the conversion is taking place, current Suntrust and BB&T clients will be served through the current bank branch locations.  For most bank clients they won’t have to deal with changes in account numbers or routing numbers.

Bank customers of either bank for the time being should receive a new Truist bank card in the mail that needs to be activated.  The activation process can take place via online banking, mobile app, Truist or non Truist ATM, or during a purchase with the card’s PIN.

Depending on what type of bank account you have with Truist or Suntrust customers with a checking, savings, or credit card will need to follow the Truist my new debit card steps.  Once you receive the card you can activate your new truist debit card by calling:

Click the Sign in link at the top of the page

Enter your User ID and Password

Click the black Sign in button

Forgot Login Credentials

Visit truist bank debit card site

Click the Sign in link 

If you’ve forgotten your user ID click the Forgot User ID link

Select from the following:

Forgot Truist User ID

Forgot SunTrust User ID

Continue on with the rest of the online instructions for either Truist or SunTrust account

If you’ve forgotten your password click the Reset password link 

Select from the following:

Forgot Truist password

Forgot SunTrust password

Follow the instructions until you’ve reset your password and has been issued a new password
